A Mystery Stack is an opaque, dark-coloured stacked symbol that takes up part or all of a single reel column. While the reel is spinning, it looks featureless — just a tall dark block where the symbols normally show. When the reel comes to rest, the entire stack reveals simultaneously as one matching paying symbol.
So if a 4-high Mystery Stack lands on reel 3 and reveals as a Diver, you suddenly have four Divers stacked vertically on that reel. Because Razor Shark has 20 fixed paylines that flow left-to-right, those four stacked Divers can complete multiple paylines at once — and the line wins compound.
The visual moment is the appeal. You don't know what the stack will be until the spin finishes. The reveal animation drags out for a half-second to maximise the anticipation.

Nudge & Reveal — the partner mechanic
